The Freedom Rock Choir has been founded in 2019 as a cultural and musical project by Andrea Orlando.
The goal of the Freedom Rock Choir is the diffusion of Rock music in choral arrangements inserted in an enlarged historical and sociological cultural framework; in addition to the performance of the most famous songs of Rock, the concerts are enriched with literary readings, translations of the texts and information relative to the historical and cultural moments that led to the composition of the most important pieces of modern music.
In live concerts the Freedom Rock Choir is accompanied by a Rock band of professionals and young solo singers, both internal and external to the choir, giving them the opportunity to perform in important modern repertoires and in prestigious settings, as an idea of extended collaboration among musicians coming from different enviroment.
The choral arrangements of the Freedom Rock Choir are specifically written by the conductor Andrea Orlando himself.
April 2020: the Freedom Rock Choir presents a voluntary, online morale boost during the worldwide sanitary emergency. Project created entirely via online sharing of the artistic material.
